The Sages of Concord

To educate and to entertain. To arouse interest in the ideas and beliefs of the Transcendentalists through the telling of their dramatic lives and relationships.

To reach a wide (preferably Public) television audience through a measured but courageous exploration of the lives  and writings of the subjects,.

To teach Americans about the exciting history of this group of thinkers, writers and activists which radically altered world literature, philosophy, religion and politics.

1. To present strong women characters, meeting and surpassing the "Bechdel Test" : (Two or more women talking to each other about something other than men.) 

To present men and women, of a variety of ethnicities, exploring what it means to be alive and how best to live.
